SNL Season 52 Cast Changes and New Arrivals
Saturday Night Live is gearing up for a fresh start as it welcomes exciting new talent to the ensemble for Season 52. Following the departure of veteran cast members like Chloe Fineman and Martin Herlihy, producers have introduced two dynamic new players, Saidah Belo-Osagie and Grace Reiter, promising a vibrant new direction for the sketch comedy.
These additions come as part of a strategic effort to diversify the show’s roster. The casting reflects a commitment to broadening the creative landscape, specifically addressing the need for more Black female representation on the series, a goal pursued following the exit of Ego Nwodim in the fall of 2025.
The arrival of Belo-Osagie and Reiter brings unique voices and established creative chops to the stage. Saidah Belo-Osagie, a rising star based in Queens, New York, has built a compelling presence through her work creating the event series Afrobeats Futura and her solo show, Saidah Gets Closure. She also has a background in writing and directing short films, including Tinge.
Grace Reiter brings another layer of compelling experience. Originally from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Reiter has generated significant buzz online for her participation in the popular TikTok sketch show Stapleview. Her professional credits span various media, including writing and directing the upcoming American High mockumentary on Netflix, Minimum Wage, and the HBO series The Chair Company with Tim Robinson.
The combination of Belo-Osagie’s emerging energy and Reiter’s established comedic timing is set to inject fresh perspectives into the SNL format. The new cast members are poised to deliver unique comedic takes as they navigate the demands of sketch comedy.
SNL Season 52 is set to premiere on September 26, hosted by Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks and musical guest KATSEYE, promising a compelling evening for viewers.
