This ambitious project is the result of a wonderful partnership between S4C and Creative Wales, working hand-in-hand with Lucasfilm and Disney. The goal is to bring the magic of the galaxy directly into Welsh homes, starting from Christmas Day onwards, broadcast across S4C and its various platforms.

The resulting audio version will be titled Star Wars: Gobaith Newydd, and it promises to be a truly unique experience. The vision for the dubbed film is guided by director Ellyn Stern and produced by Michael Kohn, ensuring that the translation captures the spirit of the original story with new life.

The casting alone promises to bring familiar faces into this legendary universe. Welsh talent will take on some of the most iconic roles in space history. Matthew Rhys is set to lend his voice to Han Solo, while Osian Morgan will portray Luke Skywalker. The cast also includes Rhys Ifans as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Princess Leia, and Mark Lewis Jones taking on the formidable role of Darth Vader.
