Lundgren shared the personal motivation behind the project. He recounted that as they began shooting footage in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the diagnosis of kidney cancer profoundly upended his world. While he initially kept the cancer diagnosis private, the experience spurred him to create this film. He explained that sharing his story was a way to ensure his journey and his strength were fully documented, especially since he worried he might not be around for the premiere.

The film features compelling insights from fellow action royalty, including Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jean-Claude Van Damme, whose participation adds another layer of perspective to Lundgren’s epic narrative.

Dolph: Unbreakable is set to premiere on October 6 in the U.S. across various VOD and digital platforms. For Canadian audiences, the film will debut on Super Channel Fuse on October 16 at 9 p.m. ET.

Super Channel calls the film a celebration of strength, noting that Lundgren’s story is a powerful example of resilience and the sheer determination to keep moving forward, no matter the obstacles.
