Gal Gadot says Wonder Woman 3 ‘Doesn’t Work’

Actress Gal Gadot recently opened up about the compelling reason she won’t be chasing the next chapter of Wonder Woman, revealing that family life has taken center stage in her professional choices.
When speaking about her decision, Gadot made it clear that reprising the iconic role no longer aligns with her current lifestyle. The primary factor? Family. With four children navigating different schools and demanding schedules, the demands of motherhood have shifted her priorities, making the commitment required for another major film simply incompatible with her present reality.
“For me to go to do another Wonder Woman, I am not sure I would at this point in my life with four children and different schools and all of that,” Gadot shared. “To check out from all of them for such a long period of time, it doesn’t work for my life anymore at this point.”
This heartfelt revelation comes amidst ongoing uncertainty within the DC Universe. Gadot’s comments followed recent discussions regarding the direction of the franchise, particularly following her earlier criticisms of how DC Studios handled the recent exit of Henry Cavill’s Superman and the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3.
The discussion about balancing a demanding career with family naturally led Gadot to reflect on life philosophy. She recalled advice she received early in her career from Kate Winslet, who encouraged her to simply choose her path. “She was like, ‘You just do or you don’t.’ And that’s fine, too,” Gadot noted. This philosophy shapes her approach to everything, reinforcing a sense of freedom rather than rigid planning.
Gadot added that she doesn’t adhere to strict timelines or decade-long career plans. “I’m not the type of person that has a 10-year planner,” she explained. Instead, she prefers to act from her instincts and intuitions, letting life unfold organically rather than forcing a predetermined trajectory.
Since her debut as Diana Prince in 2016, Gadot has been a fixture in the DCEU, starring in six films before her most recent appearance in The Flash. While DC Studios is currently developing a new Wonder Woman film, with Ana Nogueira slated to write the script, the project has yet to secure a director or a release date.
