Aaron Eckhart’s Intense Action Movie Returns on Hulu

When an action film delivers heart-pounding thrills, it often sacrifices critical acclaim for sheer intensity. Aaron Eckhart’s intense canine thriller is making its return, promising more gritty action and deeper mysteries on Hulu.

The sequel, titled Muzzle: City of Wolves, dives headfirst into the sinister underworld established in its predecessor. This new installment picks up the story following the events of the first film, escalating the stakes and plunging the characters deeper into a world defined by violence and betrayal.

The original film, which debuted on September 29, 2023, set the stage for Jake Rosser, an ex-K-9 officer whose life is irrevocably shattered after his dog is killed in Skid Row. The narrative follows him as he plummets into a shadowy environment to uncover the truth behind the tragedy.

Now, the focus shifts dramatically with Muzzle: City of Wolves. Jake Rosser continues his harrowing journey, but this time, his peaceful life is brutally shattered when a gang launches a savage attack on his family. To navigate this perilous landscape, he must team up with a new K-9 partner named Argos, embarking on a mission to expose a drug ring, confront corrupt officials, and battle his own demons.

The ensemble cast remains compelling as Aaron Eckhart reprises his role as Rosser, supported by returning talents Tanya van Graan, Karl Thaning, and Scott George, who play Mia Rosser, Officer Beekman, and Paolo Reyes, respectively. Adding to the canine chaos are the stars Uzo and Malawi, who join Argos as new K-9 partners.

The film is anchored by a dedicated team, helmed by director John Stalberg Jr., and features a screenplay penned by Jacob Michael King, based on characters from Carlyle Eubank’s world. While the theatrical run for the first movie did not achieve widespread critical success, fans of one-person army action movies have found an excellent place to watch this gripping sequel.
